Super awesome anime recommend thread

So to solve that ever popular question "What should I watch" this thread is gonna be where you guys can share what you feel people should watch and why.

To start with my list;
Cowboy Bebop, a great space western.
You should watch if: You liked trigun/outlaw star, you're into action animu, you like character development.

Bacanno!, a quinton tarrintino film in anime style.
You should watch if: You liked full metal alchemist, Resivour dogs, or gangster movies. If you're into action animu. If you like unique stories.

The Boondocks
because if you're a legit nig, you'll love it

Black Lagoon and Afro Samurai.

If want my opinion the best animes are, the dragon ball series, yu yu hakusho, boondocks, afro samurai, and digimon season 1-3 (childhood favorite) =)

My fav has always been Lucky Star!!! Just cuz its so funny!

if you liked naruto i would recomend ninja scroll or basilisk

if you liked death note i would recommend code geass and durarara

if you liked rourouni kenshin check out samurai 7 samurai deeper kyo and blade of the immortal

I've always liked Yu Yu Hakusho, it was my first anime, and will always be my first recommendation to anyone.

So I just finished Durarara(was addicted) and I need a new Anime to get into. I have heard alot of people suggest alot of animes but I don't know what to pick if I don't know what any are about. I genneraly like anime with action and intrigue, like action would be Bleach, Code Geass, and Full Metal Alchemist. Intrigue would be things like Death Note, Durarara!, and Code Geass again.

If anyone could tell me anything about these animes it would be helpful:
Black Lagoon
Darker Than Black
Elfen Lied
Shakugan no Shana
or anything you personally recommend

I treid to look these up on wiki but it's vary vauge.

If you Liked Drrr. Then you should watch Bacanno. Made by the same people, and 100% better.

Black Lagoon is God Tier animu about a guy who gets caught up with a group of mercs and ends up joining them as they do merc stuff. DAT REVY!

Darker Than Black is also a really good animu. It involves people called Contractors who have Unique abilities, The MC is a Contractor , That works for a organization that uses him as an assassin of sorts.

Elfen Lied is a very gory scifi-Romance. If you like Blood and tits, you shoudl watch it.

Shakugen no Shana is decent, deffinaly the worst of the 4 animu you asked about. Its kinda dull and generic. its basic bleach with more Romance.

Then, a dark guild known as 'Phantom Lord' attempted to kidnap Lucy and bring her back to her father and destroy Fairy Tail. It turned out that Lucy was the daughter of an incredibly wealthy family so therefore her father offered them a large amount of money to bring her back, in order to have her married for business reasons. Furthermore, Phantom Lord's master was worried that if Fairy Tail got their hands on the Heartfilia funds, Fairy Tail would surpass them and become the most influential and top guild. They were defeated when they tried to and succeeded in destroying the Fairy Tail headquarters, prompting Fairy Tail to build a castle on the old guild site. However, soon, mysteries about the Balam Alliance of the dark guilds rise. Fairy Tail, Blue Pegasus, Cait Shelter and Lamia Scale 'band' together without the Council's approval and manage to take down Nirvana, a WMD, and a corner of the Balam Alliance, Oracion Seis. With them was also Jellal, who lost his memory, although he is arrested by the Council.
However, since the guilds of the Balam Alliance control all the other dark guilds, and there are 3 parts to the Balam Alliance and the remaining guilds were still extremely powerful, Oracion Seis is 'avenged' by Grimoire Heart. Grimoire Heart's goal is to kidnap Zeref, the most evil dark wizard in the history of Mages. Makarov faces off with Master Hades, who produces a magic called 'Grimiore Law' (the 'opposite' of Makarov's ultimate technique, Fairy Law). This causes Makarov to back down, because his first priority was the guild, and if they died he would have not fulfilled his role as master. Master Hades was the 2nd master of Fairy Tail (Makarov being the 3rd), though why he turned to being a master of a dark guild is unknown. As of now, Fairy Tail has managed to defeat all of the Puragotary Kin, after Urtear learns the truth of how her mother was forced to leave her after begging a laboatory to help her with her abundance of magical power.

The rest all sound really good plot wise

i wouldnt count Elfen Lied out. its a very good animu.

not counting it out, just saying the others look mre apealing as of now.

Black Lagoon is deffinally the best on that list. Then Elfen Lied, then Darker than Black.

Fairy Tail is better than all of those.

Definnaly fills the death note and durarara gap with the mind games and immortal aspect.

Black Lagoon
I completly agrre on that list it's the best, it's one of the best animes I have seen in a while, and thats just after seeing the first episode. Simply put: BAD ASS!

Elfen Lied
Meh it's okay. It's not the nudity or the gore, theres nothing wrong with thoses as it's an adult anime, but Its boring. I watch like 7 episodes and it boils down to incest, innocent girls, and feelings. Lucy is the only charactor I'm intrested in and she is rarely involved as she is always Nyu. If Lucy was a bigger charactor then Elfen Lied would be alot better, but it sticks with the innocence thing to much.

I still need to watch darker than black but my list is surely : Black Lagoon at the top with Baccano and Draker then Black switching back and forth.

S1 and S2 for Black Lagoon are on this site and I heard they were working on S3, any news on that?

Just a few things id like to say. First, don't ever compare a shitty animu like Death Note to Baccano, Second, Drrr and Baccano were created by the same people, If u weren't already able to tell by the copy/paste intros. Third, Black Lagoon is the definition of Bad Ass. DAT REMY! Fourth, There is no incest in Elfen Lied, all tho they are cousins, there is no actually blood relation between them, you'll find that out later on if you keep watching (sorry for the spoiler, not like its a big plot twist or anything tho.) If you've all ready watched seven Episodes there's no point in stopping there, you almost done with the series, and you'll get ti see more of Lucy shortly. And finally, the fist half of the second season of Black Lagoon was pretty fail, all tho it ends epiclly, as for the third season i have heard/read nothing recently about a release/Air date so far, my guess is that its still in the works.

Well First off hes only listing animu that was recently suggested to him in this forums. and second Fairy Tail dub doesn't (officially) exist yet.
